What Your Bathroom Cabinet Says about You

The living room was probably the nicest part of my house but like most guys who have lived alone for a while it was all about the TV and the music system rather than anything else. The chairs and tables were a n eclectic mix of pieces I had picked up over the years and if I am being honest were a bit nasty.

The Bathroom Was Even Worse

However, things got worse as we moved upstairs up to my humble bathroom. This is a room which no one ever used to enter so I hadn’t done anything to it since I moved in to the property. This meant that it still had the green bath which looked like it had been there for about a century and a cracked mirror on the wall. I had bought a simple plastic bathroom cabinet but as I never bothered hanging it up it was resting on the floor and covered in dust.

All of this had to change when I met a special lady who I knew would be aghast at how I lived. She still stayed with her family in a spotlessly clean house which looked like it had been designed by someone with really good taste. If she saw my old green bath and wicker / leather / plastic living room combo it would really ruin the image she had of me.

I started off with the living room and bought a cheap set of furniture which wasn’t great but which at least unified the whole space into one sort of theme. It is no longer full of things which looked like they were left over after the rag and bone man had taken away the half decent stuff.

With a sigh I then decided to tackle my famous bathroom. It actually turned out to be easier than I thought though, and I didn’t have to spend much money on it either. The bath was replaced pretty easily with a low cost white one which is nothing special but which at least doesn’t look like it belongs in a bathroom museum.

As a finishing touch I was going to hang up the old bathroom cabinet but then I decided to go online and see if I could find anything a bit more interesting to give the room a real focal point. I came across extremely stylish looking cabinets with lights on from Pebble Grey and decided that this was what my bathroom really needed. Now I have a much more presentable home and it didn’t cost me much to get it sorted out.
